Why Blue Light Risks Are More Striking Than Thoughts

As the number of various electronic devices increases, the use time for contacting them is also increasing day by day. PCs, laptops, monitors, TVs, smart phones, and lights are among the most important tools that can not be removed from our daily lives. If you combine the time you use them, you know that you spend a lot of time in one day. But do not you overlook the danger of 'Blue Light', the main character to introduce today?

01. Blue light is?
Blue light is a blue light that exists at wavelengths between 380 and 500 nanometers. It is the wavelength of light used by dermatologists to treat acne.

02. 'Blue Light' is everywhere.
Sunlight is a major source of blue light, and most people are exposed to the blue light most when outdoors in the daytime. However , there are artificial blue lights including fluorescent lights, LED lights and flat-screen TVs . In particular, the display screens of computers, electronic organizers, smart phones and other digital devices emit a considerable amount of blue light. The amount of HEV light emitted by these devices is only a fraction of the amount emitted by the sun. However, the time people spend using these devices and the proximity of the user's face to the screen is causing concern for ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to have a long-term impact on their eye health.

03. Sleep disturbance
Blue light has a short wavelength and high energy, which makes it easy to tired eyes and suppresses the secretion of melatonin hormone related to sleep, which causes sleep disorder.

04.  Reduced vision and inducing macular degeneration
Long-term exposure to blue light causes eye fatigue and sleep disturbances, which can lead to more severe stress-related illnesses, such as helplessness, macular degeneration, and poor visual acuity.

05.  Dry eye syndrome
According to the Blue Light Research Society of Japan, blue light is not absorbed by the cornea or lens of the eye during prolonged exposure due to its strong and straightforward energy properties, and reaches the retina, causing eye fatigue and causing eye dryness.

06.  Anguam and Death
Recently, a 40-year-old man who used to look at his smartphone everyday died of "Anguam" before he fell asleep. The cause of death was the 'blue light' of the smartphone. Blue light lowers the secretion of sleep induction hormones, and it causes eye fatigue as well as dryness of the eye. In severe cases, it can damage the retina or lens in the eye, causing eye cancer. This can lead to death in the worst case.

07. Precaution for safe use
Do not use the phone for more than an hour in a dark room. If you are using a computer, TV, or other electronic device for a long time, wear a blue light intercepting lens or glasses. I can use the blue light block feature on my smartphone device itself. Android has a 'blue light' function, and the iPhone has a 'night shift' function. If the model is not equipped with a blocking function, you can protect your eyes and skin by using the blue light blocking application. If you block the blue light, the screen will turn yellow because the blue light is removed. A similar function is installed and programmed in the PC monitor.  It is especially helpful to use glasses with blue light filters after cataract surgery.

Why do you have to stop removing the "snot" in public

Do you have any memories of concentrating all your nerves in your nostrils? Usually, I put finger or index finger in my nostrils and dig my snot to solve my frustration. According to one statistic, it is said that on average, it snatches snot 4 times a day. However, the snot can not be cut off. Let's find out why we should stop digging the snot that has been frustrating, sometimes dirty, and unkind.

01. Why is there a snot?
A snot is a lump formed by the mixture of mucus from the nasal mucosa of the nasal mucosa, If you dig a big snot, you like to say 'Wang Geon Lee' was digged. This snot comes into our nostrils when we breathe, as the air is inhaled and dust or foreign matter. But when dust or dirt enters the lungs it is dangerous, so the sticky mucus covering the nose and nasal mucus filters out dust and dirt. It is the 'snot' that is gathered and solidified. When the nose is dry, the snot is more handsome, and sometimes you feel tickling or stuffiness.

02. Nasal mucus injury
It is very dangerous if you snatch it because it is tickling or it is frustrating. I usually use 'index finger' or 'ring finger' to dig snot. The nasal skin is very thin and sensitive, so if you push your finger in forcibly, it may damage the nasal mucosa.

03. Bacterial infection and inflammation occurrence
Hands are a major pathway to bacterial infections, as words that can avoid many germs by simply washing their hands. Especially, it is easy to get infected by the germs of the hand because it is a route that can directly enter the lungs by sucking in air. In addition, if mucous membrane damage occurs, inflammation may occur.

04. Coppy
You may have experienced 'nosebleed' simply by selling snot without fighting. The nosebleed tells us that the blood in the nose is damaged. Nose bleeds are manifested through fatigue, blood vessel rupture, and hypertension. By the way, if you dig your snot, it can damage your nostril skin and cause 'blood vessel rupture'.

05. Meningitis and sepsis
Inflammation due to bacterial infection is very dangerous when it reaches the brain. This is because the nose has blood vessels to the brain. Inflammation can cause meningitis or septicemia when germs run to the brain and can even die if severe.

It is recommended that the snot be carefully discharged by loosening its nose. It is also recommended that the nose be cut out of the piercing rather than pulling out with the forceps. And for your reference, if you get a cold nasal discharge when you get a cold, the nasal mucosa is not inflamed yet, and if you have a runny nose, you have an inflammation of the nasal mucosa. A runny nose is a sign that there is more heat in your body.
